FEATHER
Feathers, when they fall, do not choose to leave the bird's body. As they swirl to the ground, whether into chaos, or safety, they are taken by the force of the wind. They have no choice where to land, nor how to land there. What is the meaning of "Homeland" for feathers? The concept of home is different for everyone, but how is it altered when you are displaced from the place you were born or where you grew up? In this two part film series, we explore the concept of home through the eyes of two students, Hesham Moadamani and Khalil Hammod.

ABSTRACT
This video is an exploration of color and form. I focused on reflections as they are a source of inspiration for me. While editing this piece I aimed to challenge conventional narrative form and present an abstracted version of what I see on a daily basis.

about
My name is Maddy, and I love to sing! And take photos and make videos :)
Photography is endlessly exciting to me because it allows me to reenvision my lived environment. I focus on colors and textures that would go unobserved without purposeful framing.
As a musician, I tune into harmonies and dissonance. I write songs as a way to connect with myself and the world around me.
I explore the ways in which media affect our daily lives and our perception of what is possible.
